Ratbone Rat Terrier Rescue
Hello and welcome. Thank you for considering adoption over purchasing a dog. Every year over 13 million dogs are euthanized due to over-population. You can help reduce this number by considering adopting over shopping.
We are a very small non-profit rescue dedicated to saving rat terriers in need mainly throughout Florida or surrounding states. We work to save rat terriers who are discarded, abused or neglected. We know we can not save them all but our goal is to change the lives forever of the ones we do save. If you know of a rat terrier in need please contact us at contact@ratboneRTR.org.

Help Us Help Ratties
Because we are so small we are always looking for volunteers to help process applications, transport or even foster dogs. In addition, donations are always welcome. It takes a special person to dedicate their time or financial resources to saving helpless animals and we would appreciate if you would consider giving your time or money to help the ratties.
Adoption
Please consider adopting one of our special ratties. Each one is fully vetted including checks for heartworm and spay or neutered. They also get microchipped to make sure they are returned to Ratbone RTR or you if adopted. Adoptions cost $200 for adults and $250 for puppies.
Donation
Rescuing dogs is a very expensive business. We spend approximately over $200 to fully vet and spay or neuter our pups taken into our rescue so our adoption fees barely cover our expenses. This does not of course cover any special surgeries or other conditions our ratties come into rescue with like broken legs or heartworm treatment. Any little donation will go 100% to help the ratties in our care. Even as little as $5 can help to go towards surgeries or other issues our pups may come with. Our board of directors and other volunteers take no income for the work they do.
Volunteer
There are numerous way you can help us help the ratties in need. You could volunteer to process applications for our ratties or even do a home visit for an application we have pending. In addition, we always need transportation help in moving ratties from poor conditions to our safe foster homes or to their final furever homes. Finally, the most special volunteers are our fosters who take loving care of our ratties while with us until their furever home is found. Fosters can take in one or up to four ratties for us. We do offer to pay for vetting and any medicines they need.

Become A Foster Parent
Becoming a foster parent for Ratbone Rat Terrier Rescue is a rewarding experience. By opening your home to a Rattie in need, you provide them with a safe and loving environment until they find their forever home. Fostering not only helps the dogs but also enriches your life with companionship and joy.
